Volunteer for CROPT

CROPT is always on the lookout for volunteers – people who can make huge, life changing differences in peoples’ lives through the investment of time.

Evidence and experience has proved that your time can make a huge impact in someone’s life.

In addition to this, your input can have a direct and positive impact on your community.

CROPT aims to provide realistic opportunities that make effective use of your time:

Horticulture Project
Location : West & North Cumbria
This project always welcomes volunteers to our horticulture activities. There is a wide variety of tasks to do all year round whilst supporting offenders and ex-offenders to learn new skills. For more information on current projects get in touch.
Mentoring
Location: Countywide
Volunteer mentors sought to match up with individuals who are classed as ‘hard to reach’. The commitment varies and can be up to an hour once a week. Mentoring projects currently include the Buddy Project, C&LCRC Mentoring Project etc.
Circles of Support & Accountability
Location: Countywide
Volunteers attend a 2-day training programme for this project.
There is a commitment to attend weekly meetings for the first phase of the circles lifespan, 6 to 8 months then this will lessen in phase 2. Generally a circle will meet for between 12 and 18 months. If you are interested in volunteering for this project please phone Janet (Lancashire) 07917790485 or Maureen (Cumbria) 07860920402
